What Messages You Will Receive

Pianobooker is a scheduling platform used by independent piano technicians. By providing your phone number, you consent for your piano technician and their associated business to contact you via the Pianobooker platform regarding appointment reminders, scheduling updates, and service confirmations.

How Consent Is Collected

Consent is collected through the following methods:

Online booking consent (primary method): When a client books an appointment through the Pianobooker platform, they must check an unchecked consent box before submitting. The checkbox reads: “I agree to receive SMS appointment reminders and updates. Message & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out.” with a link to these SMS terms. Consent is recorded in the Pianobooker database with a timestamp.

Verbal consent: Consent may also be obtained verbally by your piano technician at the time of service or scheduling. Your technician will read the following script:

“We use Pianobooker to manage scheduling. With your permission, we'd like to send you text messages for appointment reminders, confirmations, and rescheduling notifications. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to opt out. Do you agree to receive these text messages?”

After consent is obtained, it is recorded within the Pianobooker platform, which logs the client name, phone number, consent method, and timestamp. A confirmation SMS is then sent to you:

“[Technician Business Name]: You've been opted in to receive appointment notifications via Pianobooker. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.”

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your appointment schedule. You will typically receive messages when an appointment is upcoming or when there are changes to your scheduled service.

Opt Out

You can opt out of receiving text messages at any time by:

Replying STOP to any message you receive
Contacting your technician directly
Using the “Manage Preferences” link included in any email from Pianobooker to disable SMS notifications
Emailing info@pianobooker.com
